Layerr Terms of Use
Effective October 1, 2026
These terms cover your use of Layerr, the closet and outfit app made by Jon Miller ("I", "me"). By downloading or using Layerr, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Your license to use Layerr
Layerr is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple's EULA"). These terms add to Apple's EULA. Where the two conflict, Apple's EULA applies.
You may use Layerr for your own personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control.
2. Your content
Everything you add to Layerr stays yours, including photos, clothing details, outfits and notes. I don't receive it, and I don't claim any rights to it.
You're responsible for what you add. Please only add photos and content you have the right to use.
3. Using the app fairly
Please don't:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows;
- use Layerr to break any law or infringe anyone's rights;
- try to interfere with the app or with the Apple services it relies on.
4. Your data and backups
Your closet is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, synced by Apple. I don't hold a copy, so I can't restore anything you lose. Keep iCloud or device backups turned on if your closet matters to you.
I'm not responsible for data lost to device problems, iCloud issues, deleting the app, or using Reset Wardrobe.
5. Features are there to help
Reminders, outfit suggestions, insights, streaks and your Year in Review are there for convenience and fun. I don't promise they'll always be accurate or delivered on time. For example, notifications depend on your device settings.
6. Apple services
Layerr relies on Apple services such as the App Store, iCloud and notifications. Your use of them is covered by Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
7. Privacy
What Layerr stores and where is explained in the Privacy Policy.
8. Updates and changes
I may update Layerr, add or remove features, or stop offering it. I may also update these terms. When I do, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use Layerr after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. No warranty
Layerr is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. I don't guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Layerr. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited under the law where you live.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Layerr at any time by deleting it. These terms end when you do. Sections 2, 4, 9 and 10 continue to apply after that.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Province/State, Country], except where the law where you live says otherwise.
